About The Dark Abyss
Every story begins with a question.
Some seek answers through history. Others through science, philosophy, or imagination. The Dark Abyss was created to explore all of them through literature.
Founded by A. Rahman, The Dark Abyss is the official home of his original writings — a growing collection of novels, short stories, poetry, literary works, philosophical reflections, and other creative projects. It is a place where imagination is treated with purpose, where every page is written to engage the mind as much as the heart.
The website welcomes readers from every part of the world. While many of its stories are written with younger readers in mind, its themes — curiosity, courage, mystery, hope, ambition, and the search for meaning — are universal.
"Great literature does more than tell a story. It invites readers to think, to imagine, and to return with new questions."
About the Author
Hello, and welcome.
I'm A. Rahman — a writer, novelist, poet, narrator, creator, speaker, and a pre-engineering student.
My journey as a writer began when I was seven years old. Long before I understood the technicalities of literature, I found joy in creating stories, imagining worlds, and giving life to characters that existed only in my mind.
At the age of eleven, I began writing my first novel, Another Chanced Life. What started as childhood curiosity gradually became a lifelong commitment to storytelling. Since then, writing has become more than a hobby for me — it has become the way I explore ideas, ask questions, and express the imagination that continues to shape who I am.
I don't believe stories should exist only to entertain. I hope they encourage curiosity, challenge perspectives, and remain with readers long after the final page.
Whether I am writing a mystery, a poem, a philosophical reflection, or an entirely new fictional world, I strive to create work that is thoughtful, original, and meaningful.
Thank you for taking the time to visit The Dark Abyss. I sincerely hope that somewhere within these pages, you discover a story worth remembering.

Acknowledgements
No meaningful journey is ever accomplished alone. This website, and the writing it contains, would not exist in its present form without the support, guidance, and encouragement of people who believed in me long before many of these ideas reached the page.
My Parents
My deepest gratitude belongs to my parents.
For every sacrifice they made, every opportunity they provided, every word of encouragement they offered, and for believing in my dreams from the very beginning, I remain profoundly thankful. Their love, patience, guidance, and unwavering support have been the foundation upon which my journey as a writer has been built.
This work is a reflection of values they helped instill in me, and for that I owe them more than words can express.
Prof. Safdar Ayyub
I extend my sincere appreciation to Prof. Safdar Ayyub, my English professor.
His careful proofreading of my novel, insightful suggestions, and constant encouragement significantly improved the quality of my writing. His guidance marked an important milestone on my journey toward publication and strengthened my confidence as an author.
I will always remain grateful for his generosity in sharing his knowledge and for believing in my potential.
Prof. Touqeer
My heartfelt thanks also go to Prof. Touqeer.
His encouragement and practical guidance played an important role in helping me establish my online literary presence through this website. His support gave me the confidence to share my work with readers beyond the written page and inspired me to continue building The Dark Abyss.
I sincerely appreciate his encouragement and generosity throughout this journey.
Every story published here is another step forward.
Thank you for being part of that journey.
